I went to Costa Rica for New Year’s 2014. I stayed on the West Coast and traveled around with a motorbike, exploring random beaches, mountain trails and tiny villages.

Costa Rica was wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern the country was. The roads are good, the country is safe, and wasn’t typical of 3rd world culture. Costa Rica treats its citizens well and they have a great healthcare and education system. It was more expensive than other 3rd world countries, but the money goes right back into making the country better.

I hope to be back again and explore the east coast and volcanoes!
