I took a road trip to Tombstone with my then boyfriend, and the town is impressively preserved. You can visit Wyatt Earp’s house, the graveyard where many outlaws are buried, the historic (and historically haunted) Bird Cage Theater, walk around the OK Corral, checkout the old courthouse and hangman’s noose that still exists, visit prisons where Wyatt Earp kept the outlaws he captured, and many other sites.
Tombstone is a quiet country town and its residents work to preserve the history and culture of the town. We spent one day and night there, and it was a great little town to stop by on our bigger road trip to Colorado.
